While fans of Charice eagerly await her much anticipated return to "Glee" in the role of Sunshine Corazon on the show's upcoming "The Night of Neglect" episode, scheduled to air this Tuesday, April 19th (8:00-9:00 ET/PT) on Fox, the 18-year-old international superstar and YouTube sensation is giving fans a taste of her forthcoming Reprise Records CD with three new songs that are scheduled to be released on iTunes in April and May. The first song, "Before It Explodes," recorded in LA, was written by Ari Levine and Bruno Mars and produced by the Smeezingtons. "Louder," the second song to be on iTunes sometime in May, was written by Daniel James, Leah Haywood and Shelly Peiken; produced by Dreamlab.
"I had a fantastic time in the studio recording these songs and can't wait to perform them live for my fans," Charice stated. "It's thrilling to work with so many talented songwriters and producers," she concluded. In other music news, Charice is a featured vocalist on fellow YouTube sensation Greyson Chance's new single "Waiting Outside the Lines."
In between recording and shooting "Glee" in LA, Charice has been flying back and forth to Boston where she is also filming the comedy "Here Comes the Boom" starring Kevin James, Salma Hayek and Henry Winkler. The film is directed by Frank Coraci. In the film, James stars as a high school biology teacher who moonlights as a mixed-martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to save the school's music program. Charice plays a student at the school.
